Ziggurat of Chaghazanbil

Chaghazanbil Ziggurat, the historical and amazing building from the Elamite period (before the Medes), which is located on a stone layer above the ground. The height of this temple was about 52 meters, and now its remains are about 25 meters. Chaghazanbil Ziggurat is one of the sightseeing places of Iran, which was built in the second half of the second millennium BC by the order of the most powerful Elamite king to worship the gods of the Elamite period. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in 640 BC by the order of Ashur Bani Pal, one of the Assyrian kings. You can put Cheghazanbil Ziggurat at the top of the list of these places when you travel to Khuzestan and see the tourist cities of Iran.
